Horse & Farm Camp

Register today
At Sagehill Stables, we offer safe and fun riding camp experiences that combine a love for horses, animals and the outdoors. Opportunities for kids to connect with farm life and animals is becoming more rare, which is why we have designed our day camps to provide horse riding lessons, learning horse and animal care, playing outdoor games and activities and getting crafty. Our experienced coaches and staff team are here to facilitate a positive learning environment and tailor the activities to the group.

The difference between the Summer Equestrian Development Camps and the Horse & Farm Camps:
- Equestrian Development Camps for ages 8 to 14 will have daily riding lessons and focus on improving horse riding skills and knowledge
- the Horse & Farm Camps for ages 6 to 12 will include a lead-line ride and will focus on horse and farm animal care activities with a focus on fun instead of advancing riding skills

- The cost difference between the two camps ($100/d vs $75/d) reflects the difference in riding lessons vs. pony ride/lead-line ride
- Horse & Farm Camp is offered on a drop-in basis, while the Equestrian Development camp requires a weekly commitment to ensure riding lessons can run smoothly and advance skills for the students throughout the week

What makes Sagehill Stables riding camps so great?

Small groups, professional riding lessons:
  • Our camps are designed around riding lessons structured in a similar way to our riding lesson programs.
  • Small groups of five riders ensures we can appropriately match riders with the horses that work best with their skill set and personality.
  • Small groups also allows more 1-on-1 attention between coach's and students. This means a safer and more controlled learning environment!

Trained & experienced staff:
  • Experienced coach's trained to handle the activities we offer and are hired as a part of our staff time not just for the summer.
  • Our horses care and the safety of students is a priority and that kind of responsibility takes experience and training.

Positive learning environment:
  • A positive learning environment is essential.  We do not tolerate negative attitudes, gossiping, bullying or other such behavior.
  • Our staff are trained on how to deal with challenging situations and have the resources and experience to help them deal with any problem that may arise.

Care for property & horses:
  • Our building and property is designed and maintained to provide a safe environment for clients and horses.
  • All emergency protocols and requirements are up to date in the case of an emergency.
  • Building is kept clean to ensure minimal health risks or physical dangers to humans or horses.
  • Our feed and care program for our horses is designed to ensure horses are always happy and healthy, so they in turn provide positive experiences for our clients.
