What makes Sagehill Stables riding camps so great? Today's world is ever changing. Kids have fewer and fewer opportunities to experience farm life, horses, animals and the outdoors. In order to provide the best experience for both our clients and our horses, we do a few things differently at Sagehill Stables. Safety is our main priority, followed by student and horse health and well-being. Small Groups, Professional Lessons: Our camps are designed around riding lessons. Students (and parents!) get the same value, experience and professionalism when they come for a camp as they would if booking a riding lesson. We also commit to having small groups. Small groups ensure we can appropriately match up riders with the horses that work best with their skill set and personality, allows for more 1 on 1 attention between coach's and students, and means a safer and more controlled learning environment. We want to make sure kids are always supervised and well looked after while they are here, without overwhelming our very valuable staff. Trained and Experienced Staff: Speaking of our staff... Our coach's are experienced and trained to handle the activities we offer, and are not just hired for the summer. Our horses care and the safety of students is a priority, and that kind of responsibility takes experience and training. Our camps also allow coach's flexibility to design the learning activities around the student group. Positive Learning Environment: A positive learning environment is essential. We do not tolerate negative attitudes, gossiping, bullying or other such behavior. Our staff are trained on how to deal with challenging situations and have the resources and experience to help them deal with any problem that may arise. Care for property, horses and safety: Our building and property is designed and maintained to provide a safe environment to clients and horses. We ensure that all emergency protocols and requirements are available and up to date in the case of an emergency. The building is kept clean to ensure there are minimal health risks or physical dangers to humans or horses. Our feed and care program for our horses is designed to ensure horses are always happy and healthy, so they in turn provide positive experiences for our clients. We hope that our clients can see, feel and understand the care we put into our programs and our horses! |
