Equestrian Development students are welcome to do unlimited theory sessions with us! Theory sessions are run by Sagehill coaches and guest speakers that are professionals in the equestrian industry.  Below is a list of upcoming dates that will be updated as more sessions and speakers are confirmed.

Theory Events

• Saturday September 14th + 21st at 11 am - Barn Etiquette/Safety Class with Coach Amanda 
  • This class is mandatory for new & current students looking to refresh how we do things around the barn. We will go over what is expected when you are here for lessons, as well as what to do in common situations around the barn. 
• Saturday September 21st at 1 pm - Pasture Safety with Coach Shannon 
  • ​This class will teach students how to deal with common issues in the pasture, as well as basic safety when catching your horse for your lesson. If you are nervous about catching horses, we recommend this class.
• Thursday September 19th at 6:30 pm - Equestrian Canada Information Night with Coach Shannon
  • ​Are you interested in learning and completing your Equine Canada levels? We are going to be having an information night about what EC is all about and the benefits of having your rider levels.

• Tuesday October 15th at 7 pm - Wrapping, Booting & Polos 
  • ​Learn the different methods of protecting a horses legs and when to use what for various scenarios (training, shows, injuries). This is a great class if you've never polo wrapped or used boots before and is also a great refresher for students who have some experience!
