Experience what it's like to stable off property at Manitoba's top show ground!
Students will take part in care of horses, participate in a lesson in the show ring and in our schooling show! Learn all the ins and outs of showing! Great experience for horses and students at a fraction of the cost of a real show.
We are delighted to announce that Manitoba Horse Council is sponsoring the show and will be sanctioned as a Prairie Crocus Circuit!
We hope this will help make showing less intimidating for students in the future, and provide a fun way to end summer. This is our way to say thanks to our clients for all your support!
**All riders (lesson students, boarders, guests) must have a valid Manitoba Horse Council membership (recreational membership is OK) to ride at the MHC Equestrian Centre**
Deposit on Birds Hill Park Summer Wind up for boarders or students is $150 and can be purchased in Equine Office.
Package and Ticket Options:
Sagehill Lesson Horse Packages
$380 + GST
Includes:
Additional events:
- Trail ride Saturday: select students will be asked to join the group trail ride, fee is an additional $20
- Lead-line class: for those students or friends and family that are 3 to 8 and want to do their first show on Saturday after lessons! Entry is $15
- Drill Team Performance: will be late Saturday afternoon before the BBQ! We have 2 Drill Teams this year, come and cheer on the teams!
Note: It will be mandatory for lesson students to take a chore shift (morning, lunch or evening). Shifts will be assigned by coaches in advance.
Note: Lesson horses will be assigned by coaches on a first come first serve basis. Leasers will get priority for their lease horse.
**Group trail rides will be by coach invite only to novice-intermediate, intermediate and advanced level students and will be an additional fee of $20**
Sagehill Boarders and Guests:
Lesson and Show Package: $230+GST plus stall fee and trailering
Includes group lesson on Saturday, BBQ ticket and entry into the Sunday schooling show. Boarders responsible for their own trailering. Stall fee is additional.
Stall Fee: Stalling your horse over the whole weekend (Friday evening-Sunday) comes out to $105 per stall (includes 2 bags of shavings and stall cleaning fee). Note you can purchase more shavings for $10/bag if you need them.
- GST is additional for all prices
***Please note that a 6 month recent coggins test and proof of vaccination for equine influenza will be required for those horses NOT from Sagehill Stables***
