AnnieAnnie is our oldest lesson horse and is now in her early thirties! She's a bay, Arabian-Quarter Horse mare. She enjoys her daily routines of getting groomed and light riding in our intro programs. In the past, she was a camp horse for many years, did some barrel racing and jumping! She can be seen frolicking out in the pasture with the younger schoolies, which keeps her active and young at heart.
CharlieCharlie is a one-of-a-kind personality and a great teacher of personal space! He is in his late teens, and is a bay Quarter Horse. He has a trained background in Western and English and is known for teaching students how to canter (& lope!) and build confidence.

DollyDolly is a chestnut Quarter Horse mare in her mid-teens. She is a hard worker and loves to please. She was originally trained as a barrel horse and is a naturally forward mover. Dolly is great for both Western and Jump lessons for intermediate to advanced riders. She enjoys leading on the outdoor trail and is the best girl at horse shows!
PhantomPhantom is a chestnut Quarter Horse mare in her late teens. She is a great horse to ride your first canter and learn your first jumps on!

P.R.P.R. (short for Public Relations) is an Appaloosa gelding in his late teens. He is a steadfast horsemanship teacher that gives students the opprotunity to learn to ride in "slower motion", tuning into the horse and practicing patience. P.R. is also known for his wonderful smooth canter and kind demeanor!
SmurfSmurf is a 16-hand Appendix mare in her late teens. She is an amazing teacher and leader because she is sensitive and needs to have a rider quick to the aids. She was originally trained as a Western horse and has done many sports in the discipline including reining, roping and cutting. Smurf is a favourite amongst novice students because she is amazing to learn how to canter on and has beautiful transitions!

PrincePrince has sparkly blue eyes and is one of those special diamond in the rough horses. He is originally from Peguis First Nation and was brought to the St. Norbert area many years ago. From his history, we gather he is in his mid-teens and is a Paint Cross.
SundaySunday is a bay Appendix mare in her mid-teens and is a special horse for many students at Sagehill. She teaches many students their first jump and canter. Before Sagehill, she did some cross-country and eventing training. She is now one of the horses on the Sagehill Stables show team!

ShastaShasta is a 16-hand Appaloosa gelding in his mid teens. He was not endowed with much tail or mane but is a fun character. He teaches students how to manage emotions and behaviour accordingly, matching his own state to your energy. Overall, he is a great horse to build your confidence with.
ShadeShade is a black Quarter Horse in his early twenties. He is super easy going and is a favourite lesson horse because of how easy it is to connect with him.

DixieDixie is a Miniature Horse x Thoroughbred Cross Pony. She is a true spitfire pony with lots of sass but has her sweet moments. She is very athletic and is an excellent hunter-jumper pony. She is one of the horses on the Sagehill Stables show team!
JessieJessie is a 5 year old rescue pony. She has great hunter-jumper potential and is developing into an awesome lesson horse!

LenaLena is a 2018 bay Thoroughbred and is a member of the Sagehill show team! She is a great horse for our advanced riders to learn and grow with. Find her in the hunter-jumper ring during the show season!
ParkerParker is in his late teens and is a chestnut Quarter Horse gelding. He is a favourite of many students because he is a patient teacher and jump master!

RueRue is a 2014 grey Thoroughbred. He has a very calm demeanor and is trusted in both lessons and therapy programs. He is a great teacher on the flat and over fences. Rue is also part of the Sagehill Stables show team!
BanditBandit is a Warmblood x Quarter Horse in his late teens. He has a background as a ranch horse. Bandit is a big guy at over 16-hands. He is a great teacher for building confidence and is a great fit for our intro programs!

HandsomeIf you've taken the intro program at Sagehill, you will have met Handsome! Handsome is in his late teens and was once a pony horse at the track! He is a great teacher and confidence builder.
TizzyTizzy is a 2019 Thoroughbred gelding with a cool and calm demeanor both in and out of the saddle. He stands at 16-hands and is a great step-up horse for novice to intermediate students. He is also part of the Sagehill Stables show team!

DashDash is a cute-as-pie Miniature Horse. Together with his best friend Zip, he can be seen getting groomed and ridden in our younger-aged programs and birthday parties!
StarlaStarla is a 2014 chestnut Thoroughbred mare. She is a big, solid girl at 16-hands. She is one of our advanced lesson horses and has lots to teach students about riding. She loves to jump and is part of the Sagehill Stables show team!

RockyEveryone knows Rocky as the pony that is always at the gate. He loves people and has called Sagehill Stables home since he was 6 months old! He is a very forward moving pony and excels at hunter-jumper. He is used frequently in our therapy programs to teach confidence on the ground.
BootsBoots is in his early twenties and is a bay Quarter Horse gelding. He has experience in many different disciplines including English riding, Western riding, cattle ranching, and reining. He is an amazing teacher for our novice to intermediate level students learning how to be leaders, read horse behaviour, and how to canter and jump.

LegsLegs is a special girl who has won the hearts of many at Sagehill with her sweet demeanor. She is a black Thoroughbred mare in her late teens. She teaches riders to be soft and light with their aids to effectively communicate. Legs is part of our Sagehill Stables show team and excels at jumping!
ZipZip is our star of the tots and zips program and birthday parties! He has been at Sagehill for over 8 years and is super friendly and easy going.

SquigglesSquiggles is a 2013 OTTB gelding and stands at 15.3-hands. Since coming of the track, he has mainly done beginner lessons before coming to Sagehill. He is now one of our intermediate horses as he learns and grows in more advanced training. Squiggles is awesome at teaching riders to jump and have soft balanced hands.
MaggieMaggie is a roan Quarter Horse mare in her late teens. Find her in the ring showing in hunter-jumper with the Sagehill Stables show team!

TiggerTigger is a Paint Cross gelding and is in his mid teens. This super sweet guy allows students to learn to use their aids. Find him in beginner to jump lessons!
MontyMonty is in his late teens and is a bay OTTB who loves to jump! He is an all around master for any rider to develop their skills with.

PeppyPeppy Le Bleu (Peppy) is a gorgeous blue roan tobiano American Paint Horse mare. She is a great horse on the flat and has started jumping!
MileyMiley is a 2016 OTTB mare who came off the track in 2021. Since then she has competed in the Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Hack divisions. She has also competed in eventing up through EV 85 successfully, schooling up to 1.20m. Miley is available for lease or sale to an advanced rider looking for a fun, forward moving ride. She has developed into a great hunter-jumper horse!

HoneyHoney is a 2018 Quarter Horse Cross who came to Sagehill as an untouched three year old. Since then, Coach Adi has put in tremendous amount of hours to create a well broke favourite around the barn! Honey excels in parent and me classes and all the kids love her blue eye! Honey is starting to progress in her dressage and over fences work as well.
EllieEllie is a 2016 chestnut Quarter Horse mare. She is easy going, has a sweet personality and loves to hang out, whether that is graze or groom sessions. She excels at work on the flat and is a beautiful mover.

AshAsh is a 2016 OTTB mare, stands at 16.2-hands, and is owned by one of our lovely boarders. She is now in the lesson program available for lease. Ash competed successfully as a 3' Hunter on the A circuit in Ontario prior to her arrival to Manitoba. Ash is great for more advanced riders looking to compete in the Hunter or Jumper ring!
CashCash is a 2015 Thoroughbred gelding who joined our program this year! He is owned by Kiera Funk and was retired from racing in 2020 after 40 career starts. He then went on to the Retired Racehorse Project in Kentucky in 2022! He is a great horse for intermediate to advanced students looking to step into the jumper ring!

MapleMaple is a 2012 OTTB mare who came to Sagehill late last year. Following training with coach Sam, she transitioned from Western to English and learned to jump. Maple is amazing at teaching riders to be quiet and allow the horse to shine. She is currently leased by one of our students competing on the MHJA circuit!
LatteLatte is a charming 2013 OTTB mare with a history of being a broodmare after coming off the track. Fun fact - her jockey club name was On the Right Track. Everyone can agree she is on the right track, settling into her new home at Sagehill! She has begun to learn how to jump, is an incredibly smooth ride and lots of fun for intermediate riders!
