Working Student Advanced Camps
We have changed the format of our Advanced Camp to combine our student volunteer program and advanced camp program!
Each week over the summer, and over spring break, students can have the opportunity to join our Working Student Advanced Camp Program!
What is this?
Students will be learning the ins- and outs- of working in the Equestrian Industry. English or Western riders welcome. Students will be assigned a training horse for the week, chore shifts, coaching shifts and have lessons and trail rides too! Working in the equestrian industry involves being able to have the skills and knowledge to fill multiple job descriptions with horse welfare and safety always as the first priority. We wanted to "up" the level of education and experience our volunteer students were getting when the volunteered over the summer, and allow for more flexibility and availability for weeks we could offer our advanced camp! Our Working Student Advanced Camp program is just that!
Best of all, signing up for a Working Student spot is FREE! And, there is the option to increase the number of lessons you get each week for a fee, so it's flexible for families circumstances and works for those already leasing or taking lesson through the summer months.
Working student spot with 5 days of work experience includes:
There is no cost to a working student spot, but you do have to register and commit to a week. There are a max of 5 Working Student Advanced Camp spots open a week. We will have a waiting list for those who can't get the week they want (email us at [email protected]).
There is the option to add up to 3 additional group lessons for $82+GST/lesson for those that want more riding time. Private lessons may be an option depending on the schedule and are $105+GST/lesson.
