BIRTHDAY OPTIONS
We have a few different options for birthdays at Sagehill Stables!
- Lead-Line Rides
- Visit with Zip and Barn Tour
- Youth-Group Game Night!
- Private or Group Lesson for up to 5 riders (ages 8 and up)
LEAD-LINE RIDES
Lead-line rides is a fun event for groups of kids or adults!
Lead-Line Party for 10 riders: $225 + GST for approximately 1 hour of rides

All guests entering the barn must have closed toed shoes. For riders, long pants or jeans in the summer are suitable (no shorts or bare legs). In the winter, ski pants and winter boots, winter jacket, gloves and hats are appropriate. Helmets are mandatory and will be provided or riders can bring their own equestrian rated helmet.
All guests are required to sign a wavier before riding. See liability release below. These should be signed in advance by children's parents.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, especially children. The indoor arenas are not heated but provide protection from wind, rain and snow.
- Ideal for kids ages 4 to 12, but open to all ages (even adult parties!)
- Riders take turn on 3 different horses, led in-hand (participants do not ride on their own)
- We use horses of various sizes (depending on the age of the riders) - not just ponies!
- All riding is done indoors so no need to worry about the weather (note: arena's are not heated or airconditioned so participants need to dress accordingly)
Lead-Line Party for 10 riders: $225 + GST for approximately 1 hour of rides
- Additional riders up to a max of 20 riders: $15/rider
- The 1-hr time-slot includes:
- Taking turns on 3 horses (various sizes) lead line rides
- Safety orientation
- Grooming the miniature horses
- Group photos
- Unlimited additional guests can watch the rides and/or join your room rental
- Fire Shack Rental or Indoor Room Rental: Optional after your Pony Party, additional $60/2 hrs (details below)

Visit with Zip
Visit with Zip our miniature horse! If you are looking for a party idea for toddlers or a group that doesn't want to ride, this is a great option! Book Zip for a 30 minute time-slot. He can be groomed, petted and can do lead-line rides for kids 50 lbs and under during this time-slot.
30 minute time-slot is $95 + GST.
We can add on an additional grooming horse for $24+GST so guests can groom 2 horses. Let us know the ages coming to the party so we can select an appropriate sized additional horse (if you want additional horses for lead-line rides, please select the lead-line rides option above).
Add on a party room rental or fire shack rental to have your food, cake, games and gifts!

Youth-Group Game Night!
Ideal for groups of friends or teams ages 8 to 14, with a maximum group size of 15 participants.
The event includes:
Priced at $40/rider with a minimum price of $325+GST for groups of less than 8.
Room rentals available as an add-on for after your party to have cake, food and even watch a movie!
Available at 1pm on Sundays! Must put a deposit on your time-slot using the booking calendar above.

- For 1 to 5 riders ages 8 and up
- Riders have an hour long session that includes grooming, tacking-up and riding
- Each rider gets their own horse

- Prices depend on number of riders:
- Private $95 + GST
- 2 riders $82/per rider + GST
- 3 to 5 riders $72/per rider + GST
- Fire Shack Rental or Indoor Room Rental: optional for during and after your lesson, additional $60/2 hrs

To book a party for 2 to 5 riders, use the booking calendar Lead-Line Rides option above to put a $50 deposit on a time-slot of your choice and make a note that you are a looking for a lesson style birthday instead of lead-line rides. Fire Shack and Room Rentals
Keep the Party Going!
After all of the excitement, the party moves over to one of Sagehill Stables indoor party rooms or the Fire Shack.
The Fireshack is nestled in a beautiful forest. There is a fantastic safe covered fire pit, perfect for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows even if its raining! This is the perfect way to relax and have a few snacks to finish off the perfect birthday party. There are 2 rectangular tables to set food and gifts on and there is bench seating for 10 to 15 people or bring your chairs to hang out on. Please note there is no electric heat or electricity in the shack, and you need to bring your own roasting sticks. The Fireshack can hold a max of 20 to 25 people, but on nice days you can have lots of people hanging outside the shack in the lovely forest on our log seating.
If an outdoorsy feel is not what you are going for, you can also rent an indoor room! We can provide you with 3 to 5 rectangular tables and chairs to seat up to 60 people on the main floor of the facility.
Fire-shack or indoor room rentals are booked for 2 hours. Usually you can get into the room or fireshack 30 minutes before your horse activity starts to decorate.
For special events or larger parties, Equus Hall is available (upstairs room that can seat up to 100 people). Please inquire for more details if you require a larger room rental.
For all our room rentals, party goers are required to bring their own decorations, food, drinks, water, table clothes, favours and marshmallow roasting sticks.
