Holiday Showcase to Raise Money for Chase!
We are trying something new this holiday season! Join us to raise money for the Spirit Horse Project to help us cover things like Chase's feed, shelter and vet and farrier costs, and showcase your skills and talent at the same time! What's the Spirit Horse Project? Click here!
Saturday December 23rd from 1 to 2:30pm we will have our first showcase event!
Students and boarders can sign up for a time-slot individually or with a friend(s)! Pick a holiday song and plan a 5** minute routine to show off your skills for your friends and family. Costumes and obstacles or jumps are welcome, but must be pre-approved by your coach!
5-minutes not long enough? Upgrade to a double time-slot for a 25% discount where you will get 10** minutes of time!
Prices include school horse and tack-fees, warm-up ring coaching and tack-up coach supervision, plus a coach in the show-ring to give you a hand as needed with your performance.
**Note: For a 5 minute performance we expect one song max, approximately 3 minutes to 3 minutes 30 seconds of performance time to allow for 1 to 2 minutes of set-up. For a 10-minute performance, we expect 2 longer songs (if they are over 3 minutes), or 3 songs if they are shorter songs, ensuring there is time to allow for 1 to 2 minutes for set-up (especially if jumps or poles are required)
Prices:
Privates: 5-minutes for $75, 10-minutes for $112.50
Semi-Privates: 5-minutes for $65/rider, 10-minutes for $97.50/rider
Group (3 to 5): 5-minutes for $55/rider, 10-minutes for $82.50/rider
Horse Assignments:
When you sign-up, please list 3 horses that you would be comfortable doing your performance on. We will do our best to arrange the schedule so everyone gets a fair shot at their first or second choice horse. Please note that as horses will be shared amongst students, ensure that costumes and obstacles/set-up don't require a lot of time to switch between performances. Registration deadline is the 15th and we plan to have horse assignments finalized by Sunday the 17th for participants.
Student Info:
Students please arrive at least 1-hr in advance or your time-slot to allow for time to tack-up and warm-up (and in case there are scheduling mishaps!). Note we do have some make-up lessons running Saturday morning on the 23rd so some horses will be tied up until 12:30pm. We encourage you to watch other students performances. Please invite your friends and family to come watch - no charge for anyone to come watch the performances. You can purchase extra lessons or practices rides in December to practice for your performance. You can now purchase and book these directly in Equine Office.
Music Selection:
Songs must be holiday themed and be available on Spotify. We will be in touch with participants the week of the show to get your final music selections.
🎅🏻🎄❄️We will be having our annual Holiday Party Potluck following the show from 2:30 to 4pm, upstairs at the barn!! Bring a dish to share! Friends and family are welcome to join us! 🎄🎅🏻❄️
