We are pleased to be able to continue to offer you riding and life-skills programs with modifications for COVID-19. The most recent update to the Provincial Health Orders will allow us to do one-on-one instruction, and is in effect from Feb 12 to March 5 2021
Due to the extreme cold warning currently in effect the week of Feb 7th to 13th, we will not be starting up the lesson program until Monday February 15 2021 and we will continue to offer these special/modified programs until Sunday March 7 2021 upon the release of the next set of Provincial Health Regulations.

Please note the following protocols are still in place for all clients and staff at the facility:
- All clients will be screened using the COVID-19 Health Links Self-Assessment tool before entering the barn
- Only one guest per student please
- As of September 1, masks will be required in the barn for all students, staff and guests
- Currently bookings and programs offered must maintain 25% capacity in the facility

Feelings of isolation, depression and anxiety are high in our community right now. Horses have a unique ability to be able to reduce anxiety and teach us valuable life skills that you can use to combat these feelings and challenges. Discounted 10-Week Introductory Riding Program: Modified Program for Students who want to get started with the Winter Intro Program or finish up an existing package from Fall 2020!
We have a been able to modify the 10-week intro program for those students who are registered for the Winter Session OR for those students that have a few lessons to complete from the Fall program
One-on-one instruction:
- 30 minutes of grooming and tack-up
- 30 minutes of riding
- 30 minutes of interactive online theory via Zoom, live from the Sagehill Stables horse classroom
The price for one-on-one instruction (on or off the horse) is typically $89/hr, so you will get a huge value-added bonus to your Intro Program package for the next 3 weeks for those that would like to get started or finish up their Intro Program Package!

We offer private lessons year-round, sold individually or in packages. 1-hr lessons are $89 + GST (includes horse and tack rental)
If assisted tack-up is required, 1 hr time includes assisted tack-up.

Equestrian Development Programs (ages 8 to 70+)
Packages of 3 lessons are available over the weeks of February 15 through March 7 2021
- Modified Group Lesson Rate: 30 minute private, 30 minute practice ride, 30 minutes online theory
- $42 + school horse/tack rental OR lease fee (please note students must be capable of catching and tacking-up on their own)
- Modified Semi-Private Rate: 30 minute assisted tack-up, 30 minute private lesson, 30 minutes online theory
- $52 + school horses/tack rental OR lease fee (please note students will be assisted to catch and tack-up the horse prior to the riding time by a junior coach or student in training)
- Private lessons: available for those who want the full 1 hr with their coach. Note: for those that need assisted tack-up, 1 hr includes assisted tack-up
- $57 + school horse/tack rental OR lease fee
Riding Leases and Essential Care Leases
We will continue to offer our riding and essential care leases during this time. For more info on riding leases, please see the page on Leases. Lessons will be mandatory for riding leases again starting Feb 15 2021 through to March 7 2021.
Essential care leases will continue and lessons are optional.
Essential care leases are $150 for 3 weeks starting Feb 15, for up to 3, 1-hr visits/week with your assigned horse. One or more visits a week can be used towards a lesson, with an additional tack-rental fee for each lesson (note lessons do not have to be on your assigned essential care lease horse).
At this time essential care leases are for those current or past students familiar with the protocols, safety rules and horses at Sagehill Stables.

Family Visits
$15 for a 30 minute visit which includes a tour of the barn and grooming a horse!
We unfortunately won't be able to offer the full family visit at this time, however, we will do private tours for adults OR one youth and one parent-guardian to supervise for the family tour! Email us to book your time!

If you have a gift certificate for a program that isn't currently running, like 4 Lessons for 2 or a group EAL program like Social Distancing 101, you can either:
Modification of the 4 Lessons for 2, for example, could mean splitting into 2, 30-minute private lessons with assisted tack-up, but scheduled back to back or potentially simultaneously with 2 coaches so you can still come together and share the experience together.

- we can offer a modified version of the program OR

Authentic You Women's Workshop
We won't be able to run the Authentic You Women's Workshop or other group EAL programs at this time. Stay tuned for upcoming dates once group programming is allowed!
As women, we spend money trying to fix the outside of our bodies, and we neglect the inside of our being. We glow, we are beautiful, we are strong, and we are courageous.
Real change doesn't happen when others give you the answers. Real, sustainable change comes when you discover the answers yourself. Our workshops give you the guidance, the “coach,” and the venue to allow you to find your own self-truths. Our workshops are for all women ages 18 to 70+, and especially for those who:
**All workshops are ground-work based (no riding) and NO Previous Horse Experience Necessary**
