Student Community
One of the great things about horse stables is the community they create! At Sagehill you will find a thriving barn community of students and boarders who all love horses! The common goal and love of horses makes it easy to make friends, learn how to work well with others, develop friendships, develop work ethic and learn new skills together. Everyone is there to help each other out.
We have all heard the saying lately that if you do something everyday, even just for 20 minutes, you will be better than 90% of people at that skill. We all know horseback riding is expensive and want to offer students some ways to get in extra horse time so they can work on their skills. We have a strong volunteer program and junior coach program to do this!
We have theory classes we hold for students in the Equestrian Development Program that are included in their lesson package. This includes the opportunity to do Equine Canada level testing! 4-H is another great program that lesson students can join and be part of for extra horse activities and all the other benefits that go along with 4-H Canada!
Leasing a horse is a great first step towards horse ownership. We have lots of horses available for students to lease and then come on their own time to do practice rides with.
Drill Team is a fun extra activity for the students to practice riding and working as team towards a common goal.
Show Team! Do you want to show in either the western, hunter-jumper or dressage disciplines? We have coaches that can take you there!
